The Dos and Donts
When traveling, do:
- Establish a positive connection with the other party. Both parties should be on friendly terms, feel comfortable and safe with each other, and know basic things about each others' systems.
- Ask for consent every time, regardless of how often one travels to their headspace.
- Set boundaries. Where can travelers go? Any laws travelers should be made aware of? Any places that are off-limits?
- Give directions. Even if the traveler is just there to look at a place or socialize with the locals, having designated points or instructions gives major clarity to the parties involved.
- Communicate! Small things such as "they're on their way" and "John made it here" can go a long way!
When traveling, don't:
- Travel to the headspaces of strangers and people you no longer associate with.
- Travel to a person's headspace without their consent.
- Breach any sort of boundary, violate any rules, trespass into off-limit areas, etc.
